This play will premiere at Lincoln Center's Claire Tow Theater this June. It will be directed by Anne Kauffman.

The Landing (3 men, 1 woman)
Three one-act musicals (Andra, The Brick, and The Landing) with a shared theme. John Kander wrote the music, I wrote the book and lyrics. This will be the Vineyard Theatre's Lab Production this May/June. John talks about the piece and our collaboration in this New York Times article.

The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle
This is a multimedia stage adaptation of Haruki Murakami's novel. I wrote the script with director Stephen Earnhart. There's more info at www.windupbc.com
Premiered at The Ohio Theatre, NYC, 2010. Next production: the Edinburgh International Festival, August, 2011.

Fellow Travelers
This is an opera adaptation of Thomas Mallon's novel. I'm writing the libretto, Gregory Spears is writing the music, and Kevin Newbury is directing.

Kick Stop (2 men, 2 women)
An emotionally unstable father is forced to move back in with his ex-wife, derailing their son's plans.

The Rules of Fetch (2 women, 2 men)
A couple in an open relationship must go to The Netherlands to retrieve family heirlooms that were stolen by the wife's odd Dutch lover.
Featured at the Great Plains Theatre Conference. Premiered at Out North, Anchorage.

The Suburbanoids (2 men, 2 women)
This is a sci-fi musical about a suburban family who gets terroroized by an evil emperor named Zygorn. It was written for and performed by The Bad Astromauts (Hannah Cabell, Simone Perrin, and me) and David Hyde Pierce as the voice of Zygorn. Here are pictures.
Premiered at The Red Room, NYC, 2004.

The Bad Astronauts
The lineup of this group changed over the years, but we did six full-length shows in various venues in downtown New York and Chicago, including The Red Room, The Present Company, The Duplex, The St. Mark's Theater, Collective Unconscious, The Chicago Sketch Fest, Galapagos, and others.
